Aggressive pruning of trees in Aguamarina park

Aguamarina residents shocked by the state of the trees in their park after pruning all trees excessively without need.

It certainly could have been done much better

Local residents have been shocked to see the state of the trees in Aguamarina Park following work carried out by ILDO, Orihuela Council's parks and gardens maintenance team.

Seeing this disaster, we wonder what the reason for it is.

Are they not being given the necessary maintenance?

Why is a tree being felled? Are there any regulations governing this?

What are the protocols for felling a mature tree?

In another residential area of Orihuela Costa, residents recently witnessed the removal of the remains of a beautiful pine tree that was over 50 years old, healthy and with a completely vertical trunk.

We trust that there is a justified reason for all this and that these actions are being monitored to ensure that the relevant regulations are not being violated.

It pains us greatly to see how these types of plants, most of which are native and therefore protected by nature, are unfortunately being destroyed by human hands.
